Account deletion

Delete your Verinode account.

This page covers the Verinode app on Google Play and the App Store, the desktop app, and Verinode on the web. They are one account, published by Verinode Inc.. You can delete it from inside the app, or by email without the app.

In the app

Open Settings → Your data. What you see there depends on your place in the business:

  • ·If you own the business’s account (its billing contact), choose Close this account, then Delete the account and everything in it. This deletes the business’s account for everyone on its team.
  • ·If you are on someone else’s team, choose Delete my sign-in under Leave this business. You leave the business and your sign-in is deleted. The business keeps its own records. If your sign-in also belongs to another business, leave that one too first. If you only want to leave and keep your sign-in, choose Leave instead.

You confirm with your password or a code. If your account has neither, because you sign in with Apple, Google or LinkedIn, you are asked to sign in again first.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from the address you sign in with, and say you want your Verinode account deleted. We check the request against the email on the account before we act on it, and we answer within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • ·Your account and sign-in, and the personal information on it.
  • ·When a business’s account is closed: its records, uploads, forwarded emails, recordings and everything IQ learned from them.
  • ·Connections to other services. We revoke our access with QuickBooks Online and LinkedIn and delete the stored tokens.

When it happens

  • ·An account with no paid term left is deleted at once. One paid through a date is deleted when that term ends, and you can keep using it until then.
  • ·If a deletion cannot finish on its own, we complete it by hand within 72 hours.
  • ·Every deletion is complete across our live systems within 30 days of when it runs, and in our backups within 90.

What is kept

  • ·Billing records, for seven years, because tax law requires it.
  • ·Anonymized aggregate patterns already counted in benchmarks. They hold nothing that links back to you or your business.
