A data trust is an independent organization that holds operators' data under governance and returns shared intelligence without selling it to the other side. Verinode is the first independent data trust built for restoration: operators contribute their own data, get peer benchmarks and decisions back, and the data is never sold to insurance carriers or shown to another operator.
The model exists because restoration operators generate valuable data but have historically had the benchmarks and analytics controlled by carriers, software vendors, or adjacent players. A data trust flips that: the data is governed for the operators' benefit by an Operator Advisory Council, with the no-sale-to-carriers commitment written into the Terms, not just stated in marketing.
